Good practices
Part of the focus for the NOVA project is identifying good practice examples on how non-formal learning can be linked with National Qualifications Frameworks (NQFs).
The project is specifically interested in the processes for developing non-formal qualifications that are learning outcome-based and that can be included in the NQF. The project is also interested in whether these qualifications can be awarded through validation. The aim is to disseminate the good practice examples for inspiration for various stakeholders working with education, training and validation of prior learning (VPL) in the Nordic countries and in Europe.
The good practice examples will be used to identify common key aspects for the development and inclusion of non-formal qualifications in National Qualifications Frameworks. The examples will be presented here, describing the process of developing non-formal learning and qualifications and, if applicable, the procedures for linking it to the NQF. The short descriptions will also provide examples of benefits, challenges, sustainability, possibilities for further developments and links to more information.
